Outsourcing / Application Hosting
The
concept of Outsourcing has a widespread meaning in Information
Technology. InfoSys perceives Outsourcing as more than the mere
relocation of services to external contractors. In our opinion,
meaningful and sustainable Outsourcing should also include supervision and enhancement
of application systems. Having said this, we understand Outsourcing as
Application Management including application in addition to first and
second level support.
In contrast to straight application development or straight service management InfoSys covers the whole life time cycle of an application from the idea to the replacement with Application Management:
- Starting with the development of applications, we offer support for all stages from collecting the needs, designing the concept to the implementation.
- Throughout the continuous usage of the application we offer administration and optimisation tasks as well as permanent advancement and modification to meet changing demands and external requirements.
- The operation of the application can be done on site with the customer’s systems or at an external data centre supervised by InfoSys.
InfoSys Outsourcing projects:
- Multisite Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP)
- Labor Data Management System
- Process Control System
- Document Management System
- Data Warehouse System
Application Hosting
The secure operation and administration of Oracle products require different hardware, IT equipment and security concepts. In addition, the availability of skilled personnel is required, personnel who can intervene and encounter problems with analytic expertise. Even for smaller projects / applications an Application Hosting can save money.
As a consequence we offer our customers the service to run the application systems at external data centres. The connection to the customer’s network is secured by state of the art mechanisms. The access will, usually, be made through a VPN Tunnel in an encrypted manner to block unauthorised access from the network.
